solo spirit of java photo diary 2nd night: before nye party, it’s car free night!

Okay, you may judge me about and caused i haven’t make a post for one (or more) week!. And the series of my traveling experience in Solo The Spirit of Java such delay(ed) *sigh. But lets marathon this series guys. These photos should posted ready right after i have such a NYE party on Solo, believe me NYE party and celebration was so different with the other city in general. I mean, there’s not only music concert, DJ booth, or rockstars party on their luxury apartment, but also there’s so many cultural performance from the kingdom stuff (reminds about this city have a special treat for their governmental) i mean this city was a kingdom inside my country. So it’s like, oh can you imagine the mix of culture and modern light, music, DJ performance and many more cultural shows? Its all in Car Free Night Event there, right before the peak event of NYE party on its City. And as you seen above of my photos, the roads is yours! yeah, even in each corner of this city that nite, there’s no more engine. Seriously! all people walking along the street and enjoying the shows in every point and booth. Ah, but one day nite, i will go there again, see the culture shows, fireworks, walking a long the streets, etc. etc. etc. Believe me such a must scheduled on yours travel agenda! Happy Weekends everyone! (wish me could do a marathon post, to finish my Solo The Spirit of Java series)

solo spirit of java photo diary day two: Heritage of Keraton Solo

The next episode of my previous post about my first ever became backpacker traveler in Solo and exploring every corner of this city. Here we go our next pit stop the uber ancient, a heritage from the past and lot of such a great history “Keraton Solo”. This place made me believe, hows the Spirit of Java definitely owned by this city, Solo. So much spritual atmosphere, tradition, and the religion of the people about The King and his family. An honor, a courteous, between the society, The Kindom and God. All running together with balance and one purpose, peacefulness. One experience that i never forget when visiting this place was one of the royal courtier have predict my selfhood just by his touch my shoulder and he said that i’m the hard but soft personality in one mind and soul. Well, it was so embrace me, i mean it’s 50 percentage yes! i’m the hard one but of course 50 percentage of me are calm and smooth sometimes, at least that i know from my closest friend said ever.  I can’t thinking about how he can do that? there’s only need a touch to predict my personality? I’m raptured! ahahaha. And yah, talk about obedience, this palace have a rules (right above this paragraph) that must be obeyed, before you enter the opulence of the past. So guys, are you ready? there’s more photo after the jump!

solo spirit of java photo diary day two: timlo sastro, pasar gedhe, and the charming city

And here we go! After such a long night with the beautiful Solo night life and tons of fat caused such a heavenly culinary of this city—  we awoke so early and excited about to exploring this city from the corner, the oldest side, till the classic one. Naoval as our guide (and photograper) suggest us to trying the famous (but FYI: almost all of culinary in Solo are famous!)  food in Solo called Timlo, and the rest of all it must be nothing but “Timlo Sastro” which it all of us in Indonesia know that this Timlo is already curated by Pak Bondan Winarno the most famous culinary TV show in town. I want to share the photo of this Timlo with you all guys but unfortunately, it already done when we just realize that we didn’t take the photo of it, yaii!! It’s  definitely too delicious even whe forgot about to take photo of it— ahahah forgive us ya. Then, we continue our trip to an old traditional market “Pasar Gede” which it have a classical building with the traditional display and layout. Trust me if you walk inside, make sure that you’re not wore a heels or even the wedges— it didn’t work at all. One thing that i really heart from this city— there almost all of the streets are clean! It’s pedestrian-able, such a fresh air, and friendly driver also bikers. This city really like no other city in this country that so friendly with pedestrian, of course— there’s no disappointment to exploring this city around the day by my feet. More photo diary soon guys, stay tune!

solo spirit of java photo diary day one: a beautiful night life

Dapet spot keren di taman sepanjang Ciwalk, yaii Rere! you got the great natural lighting dear!

Artwork sepanjang tembok di pinggir pasar malam Ngarsopuro yang Full of Spirit of Java.

Call us “norak” or anything else, but there’s like no other better than wore flats sandals to step in the charming and calm nightmosphere in Solo.

Kompleks pedagang kaki lima yang kalem dan nyaman buat makan atau sekedar kumpul sama temen atau keluarga, its like a street on London moved here in “Galabo”!

Kalau anak jaman sekarang bilang “Woles” alias nyantai gituh.

Mau makan apa aja? ada! Nasi Liwet, Selat Solo, Sate Kere dan masih banyak lagi

Beautiful and antique street light looks perfectly vintage

Gerbang Pasar Malam Ngarsopuro, inspiring yet elegant classic building.

Hmmm,.. don’t know but,.. Batik inspired building?

The lightful, the charming, and calm city called Solo,…. i’m fallin in love!

Fasilitas yang modern tanpa harus mengorbankan tradisi dan adat istiadat, kota yang tidak trying too hard to be New York or some where else there.

Stay tune Rockstars!!! Last but not least, sound cheesy but yes! inspired by this night life on this city, i just wanna say “Keep Calm, and carry on!”

New in: People Riots

*tetep, yah maklum sih, soalnya distro tempat gue ma Fiko belanja emang masi masa promosi mengingat tergolong distro baru. Jadi, Stay tune Rockstars!!!

PS: So sorry about this ‘Bahasa’ post for my international readers, sometimes— its gonna feel free even more better to write on my first language or anyone out there are welcome to translate this post, thank you!
